How much does an exhaust repair cost?
It depends on the vehicle, which part has failed and whether it can be repaired or needs replacing. We inspect the car and give you a clear quote before any work starts, so there are no surprises.
How long will the job take?
Many repairs and muffler replacements are done the same day. Custom systems and parts that need ordering take longer, and we’ll tell you the timeframe when we quote.
How do I know if my exhaust needs attention?
Common signs are a louder or different exhaust note, rattles or vibration underneath, a fume smell in the cabin, a check-engine light or worse fuel economy. If you notice any of these, get it checked: exhaust leaks can let fumes into the car.
Will a performance exhaust make my car too loud?
Not if it’s chosen well. We’ll talk through the sound you want and recommend mufflers and resonators that give character without constant drone, while keeping the car suitable for the road.
Is a louder exhaust legal in Victoria?
Vehicles used on the road must meet Australian Design Rules and Victorian noise limits. We’ll explain what is suitable for road use before we fit anything.
Do you work on 4WDs and diesel utes?
Yes. We regularly work on utes and 4WDs including Hilux, Ranger, LandCruiser, Navara, D-Max and Triton, including DPF-back systems and setups that clear lift kits and accessories.
Can you build a custom exhaust?
Yes. Custom fabrication is a big part of what we do, from a single section to a full system for engine swaps, project cars and vehicles where off-the-shelf parts don’t fit.
Do I need to book?
Booking is best so we can have the car in and out quickly, but feel free to call or drop in to have something looked at.
Can I buy parts online and have you fit them?
That’s the plan for our online shop: buy online and book the fitting at our Sunshine workshop.
